To make these images I’ve created a simple contraption that sits on the floor of the passenger seat in my car and translates changes in momentum into a two dimensional form. As I drive, the acceleration, change in direction, and breaking of my vehicle records lines that are dictated by my route and road conditions. Likewise, staying at a standstill as well as traveling at a constant speed results in ink blotting up in various ways. I use two colors, one for my trip, and another for my return to my starting place.
